I’m currently living in Spain and when I miss France (consciously or unconsciously), I want to cook Croque-Monsieur. As you might already know me, I always like to customize recipe and to make them healthier. So here you will find the recipe of a healthy grilled sandwich with ham, avocado and brie.
Why is this grilled sandwich healthier than a Croque-Monsieur ? First, we can start by the bread. I recommend that you buy integral bread in an artisanal bakery. The bread will be more tasty, preservatives-free and will be full of fibers. Second, the butter, the brie and the avocado brings you good fats. To end, I suggest you buy a good quality ham by slices at a butcher’s shop or in a shop where there is one. Personally, I buy mine in a good Italian shop. The taste is much more tasty and there are fewer preservatives as well.
